The project included the installation of inbound and outbound pedestal foundations, internal trouble kiosk setup, administration building pad construction, SIU gate control building pad establishment, administration building, parking area, container processing area, installation of ten (10) reefer racks, creation of a reefer service area with its building, laying a concrete pad for a damaged container repair structure, relocating the existing gate control structure to the container repair area, establishing a marine parking area, and conducting site work encompassing demolition, excavation, backfilling, grading, and compacting select material for sub-grade.
Additionally, the project involved:
• Installing a graded aggregate base course
• Paving with hot mix asphaltic concrete
• Installing traffic control devices such as signage and striping
Utility work included laying underground electrical/telecommunication conduits and other ancillary items. Furthermore, the project consisted of installing owner-supplied items such as security booths, a diesel generator, an automatic transfer switch, a UPS system, and gate arms, and removing and storing existing items like slide gates, security booths, wireless network mounting poles, and a flagpole.
