You are a well-respected industry expert leader who enjoys creating business development plans to reach and establish new relationships with high-level clients and stakeholders in the markets we serve. You should have a proven sales track record in the construction industry as well as an ability to consistently build trust with customers and colleagues alike.


A seasoned business development representative whose primary focus is to identify new business opportunities within our specific sectors to develop and execute a strategic outreach plan while working alongside the President and senior leaders of the company.

The representative will lead the business development efforts and support a sales culture for the company’s business growth plan. The individual will be tasked with helping to create a business development plan for the President and senior leaders and support the business development plan to reach and establish relationships with high-level clients and stakeholders in the markets we serve. You must be a flexible and adaptable team player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. He/she will report to the President to identify qualified leads and opportunities through the sales and technical support process and interact with the client as requested with the preparation of qualifications, proposals and other client relationship activities.


  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and manage the execution of the strategic sales goals and business objectives
  • Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new business opportunities to support building a strong pipeline in our specific sectors.
  • Research and analyze key economic factors that may influence market activity within specific niche markets or geographic areas
  • Demonstrate the knowledge of and support of the purpose, vision, and values of the company
  • Promote the company’s identity, brand, and industry expertise
  • Attend trade shows and other associations’ meetings to stay abreast of market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects
  • Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to the President and sector leaders
  • Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process for President & sector leaders, as requested
  • Establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations
  • Expand DBK’s footprint and build top of mind awareness among prospects
  • Potential travel as needed for networking and relationship building


  • Bachelor’s Degree required (A/E Design, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business or related field is a plus, but not required)
  • Demonstrated business development skills and experience (5-10 years) in the industrial, healthcare, logistics, commercial sectors or real estate
  • Business knowledge of the A/E/C industry, specifically industrial, commercial, and healthcare construction
  • Broad and reasonable working knowledge of the design/build and construction management delivery
  • Knowledge of commercial, industrial, and healthcare real estate market (strong existing network a plus)
  • Must be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and exhibit problem-solving/analysis skills.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to always maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Functions effectively as part of a team and independently to meet goals/objectives for the position
  • Good time management skills and organizational skills.
